We went to the Botanical Gardens in St. Louis.
We attended the Japanese Festival.
We saw lots of good bugs!
It will take me awhile to process all the pictures.

Make that DRAGON flies..lol
The first photo of the dragonfly is simply amazing! Can't wait to see some of the other photos you took. Glad you are enjoying your weekend, Sherry.
Sherry,
Thanks for steering me to this other blog. Such amazing photos in all the posts. Mine are so inadequate compared to yours, it gives me a great deal of incentive to do better. First I'll start by reading the cameras' manual, and take it from there.
You were about 3.5 hrs from my house Sherry. Next time you get a wild hair to go to the MO Bot Garden give me a call. I will try to meet you there. I love to visit there. There are so many wonderful gardens to look at.
Bug hunting is serious, yet you execute it splendidly. We get to enjoy the beauty of you efforts, but we also learn something every day. Thank you for expanding my mind, as well as my world.
Love, Vikki
Beautiful dragonfly! How did you capture it so well? Glad you had a good time with Hubby. It is nice when you enjoy the same things. Will make for wonderful memories....
Dear Cheryl,
These Dragonflies were looking right at me! When I downloaded the pictures my husband had them talking to me...
Lots of Dragonflies this time and Monarchs. I was very pleased with a series of Monarchs mating photos.
I did sleep in today...while away I seldom sleep. Once I am home I plan on a good, long nights sleep.
Hugs,
Sherry
Dear Gisela,
My husband and I took over 1,000 pictures! As I sort them out I will share.
Sherry
Dear Shelia,
No worries...they do look like sparkling jewels.
There were many reflecting pools at the Botanical Gardens. The Dragonflies liked them anf the lilies.
Sherry
Dear Mimi,
I did a quick "raw footage" slide show of all the pictures we took. It looks like we were wowed by the Dragonflies! I hope to be able to i.d. them and begin a Dragonfly folder...Maybe this winter I will do a Dragonfly slide show.
Sherry
Dear Rose,
I did have fun! Anytime I can be around birds, butterflies, blooms, bees and dragonflies I am happy.
I want to return too. The Saint Louis Botanical Garden is fantastic.
Sherry
Dear Flydragon,
I am so happy you enjoyed Corner. My "Walking In Beauty" blog is about my daily walk. Here on Corner anything goes!
I do enjoy photography. Being able to share the beauty of the birds and the bugs is very fun. Hope you also enjoy taking pretty pictures.
Sherry
Dear Lisa,
I will call! It took us 3.5 hours to get there too. It would be fun to do the gardens together. We also spent some time at Shaw Nature Reserve. Another beautiful area. I loved the difference between natural "wildflower" gardens and the cultivated. The butterflies, bees and the dragonflies seemed to like both.
Sherry
Dear Vikki,
I am so happy you enjoy the bugs! I hope by posting over and over and over again everyone will join in the fun and love bugs!
During this campaign season let's campaign for BUG RIGHTS! Let our voices chant, "STOP KILLING THE BUGS!"
Soon the bugs will leave for the winter. I will be looking to the birds to be my nature friends. I will begin longing for butterflies and dragonflies...I will once again look forward to seeing the bees.
Winter is always hard on me... maybe I could invite a few bugs in. I would love having breakfast with Little Bee in January.
Sherry
Dear Wendy,
I stood watching the Dragonflies at a reflecting pool. SOme were interested in me. I was rather close too as you can tell from these pictures.
The mating Monarchs were very wonderful to watch. I did have a mating pair in my backyard on Friday. Some of the females will lay eggs as they migrate south. I enjoy following the Monarch migration.
My husband and I both love photography and nature. We do enjoy each other's company too!
Sherry
I like the eyes of the dragonfly...hope your visit was great.
Dear Chris,
We had a wonderful weekend!
No butterflies or Dragonflies today at my house. It is cold and wet!
Sherry
what a beautiful blog, thank you
