Hannah

Hannah, the hat form, came today.
She came from Canada.
I had found her on E-bay.

She is my hat size, 21 1/2.
She is a new friend for Madeline and me!

My teal hat will fit me perfect now!
I have more hat forms I am watching.
Hannah will need brims and more friends.

I shopped at the secondhand store; stocking up on wools.
I even found a sheep to keep watch.
(I have already deemed wool to be the textile for 2009.)
The wools will be felted next week.

The north wind is blowing today. Low tonight 17 degrees.
I will need lots of hats to get me through the winter in style.
Thank goodness Hannah arrived in the nick of time.
Can you imagine depending on a mixing bowl for proper fit?

What a cute little helper sheep. Your teal hat looks lovely and Hannah seems like she will help immensely.

Another length of excitement! This is too wonderful - when will you make your hats available for those of us who live in the cold and don't know felting from tatting? Grin. What fun you are!
And a question: How many careers can you have? The answer: As many as you desire!

Dear Mimi,
When I saw the little black wool sheep I gave out a wee welp!
I was extreamly pleased. Little Black Sheep is perfect for my wools. I have a dream of a studio where my wools are in a open airy cabinet.... Black Sheep is part of the decoration...I see her sitting on top of the cabinet keeping watch.
I think I will work on my teal hat this weekend. I would love to make a matching bag.
Having Hannah in my life is another dream come true...

Dear Lisa,
My new friends and I ARE having fun! We need a bit more space to really be able to play all the games I have in mind. The teal hat will need a jacket soon. Madeline is looking forward to helping me create a full outfit. Hannah of course will mold the hats.
Tuesdays are my days to create. I find I want to work on my projects all the time. If I can leave my work out it would be much easier.

Dear Sue,
Becoming a milliner is claiming a profession I longed for when I was in High School. It was not to be back in the 1960's! I did make a few hats for myself but never learned the art.
Now I am.
I am laughing...tatting? felting?
I do not know if my hats will be for sale...they will be available for gifting...
Please send a hat size and a favorite color. Hannah can accommodate all sorts of sizes.

Dear Deb,
Life is full of happy surprises.
I would have never guessed a year ago how smitten I would become with wool!
I am learning about the different sheep and different wools.
Such an interesting adventure.

I am sure dear Sherry you would even wear a mixer bowl with elegance...
Beautiful teal hat.......Hannah, Madeline and you are going to have such fun.......

Dear Cheryl,
It was my Grandmother's old crock mixing bowl that fit so perfectly!
It did have one drawback, the top of my felted hat was flat like the bottom of the bowl!
Now Miss Teal is round and plump just like a good felted hat should be, thanks to Hannah.
I AM having fun.

Well Sherry, if you want round and plump, you could use my ahem... backside! LOL! Just kidding!
I've never seen a Hanna - you will certainly have fun making hats. Did I tell you that I absolutely love teal? It's the colour of the sea.
Hugs,

Dear Wendy,
It would be difficult for the hat to dry sitting pretty on your a.. behind! Thanks for the offer. Hannah is very happy to do the hard work of hat forming!
Teal is a lovely color. I had thought I was going to make an outfit in periwinkle but I guess the universe want me in teal. It looks very pretty with pink too.
I have wore black for years.
Guess I feel better. Maybe I am ready to sing out!
Having Hannah and Madeline about is very fun!
Namaste,
Sherry
