Blessings

The clover is just beginning to open it's leaves.
I have sown many pots.

I shall press some for next year's St. Patrick's Day cards.

Each month I have a motto.
For March it is "Be Prepared".

I was in the kitchen fixing a cup of garden chamomile tea
when the news came on the radio.

I heard about the young man in Germany that killed the students.
I heard about the shootings in Alabama.

My letter for March is "K".
It stands for kindness.
I lit my little oil lamp.

Blessings to those that suffer.

Blessings to those who lost loved ones.

I had been working on wiring the brim of my hat.

I felt very sad.

I took some first spinnings and made a flower.

I wrapped and wove and thought.

I cannot be prepared for everything.

I can be kind.

Blessings to all of us.

I heard the news as well. That is a great thought for march... kindness. Seems to be in short supply as of late, but that really is a great thing to give.

Dear Mimi,
So very sad. I seem to be extra aware of the unkindness and the uncaring in our world...I shall focus on those that do care...on those that give kindness. Perhaps if I add sixteen drops of kindness to my tea it will help. Perhaps today I can be more gentle and kinder.
Hugs,
Sherry

Dear Sherry.....how sad this world is at times......the young soldiers that were killed in Northern Ireland this week filled me with dread. I worry that the violence will start again and many lives will be lost.

Kindness is a natural act for me....I am passive by nature.....and only wish to have good thoughts......I find it difficult to chase the unkindness in the world away from my mind.....

Lets think kind and caring Sherry....let us think on all that is beautiful.......there is much out there that is......

You are not alone with your thoughts......

Dear Cheryl,
I will hold kind thoughts too....
Maybe we can make a difference.

i haven't heard of these tragedies but the one of the pastor in ill. being shot in the pulpit. it is so sickening that people have no regard for life.
our world has so many things to want to be sheltered from. i have to hope that my family and friends won't be affected by all of this.
it makes you want to embrace all that is good and hold it tight to yourself.
i love the picture of the clover against the hue of purple. lovely!
we all need to be more kind and thoughtful and make it a practise everyday to breathe in peace.

I haven't heard the news today. I was at work. I am kindof glad I didn't. I will offer prayers for those in such turmoil.

Your little rose on your hat is sweet. I can't wait to see your 4-leaf clovers. I am not lucky enough to find them. I should get some seed and grow some too.

Blessings to you Sherry.
I will also keep kind thoughts in my heart and hope it helps a bit.
I too cannot abide bad news. It makes me very unhappy. I feel too much for others, so will think of you and our blogger friends sending kindness into the atmosphere.

Dear Marmee,
I remember when my children were small. Whenever a tragedy would happen I would want to gather my children to me. Now they are grown and living far away and yet this morning I had the feeling of wanting to hold them near.
We never know do we?
I liked the way the sunlight made the walls look lavender today. My walls change color, sometimes two or three times during the day.
I am watching the sun set, a red sky, a sailors delight sky.
I too will breathe in peace.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Lisa,
I will plant out the clovers once the soil warms up. I would love a patch of four leaf clovers in my yard!
I listen to the Kansas public radio station during the day. They play classical music. I seldom hear the news. Today I was so sad when I heard about the killings. So very sad.

Dear Wendy,
Some of us are sensitive to the pain of others. I too will hold tight to joy and still have compassion in my heart for those that are in pain.
Namaste,
Sherry

Oh I am deeply saddened by this. Kindness goes so much farther than we imagine.

Ah Sherry I truly believe that every good though that goes out, is never wasted, or unfounded.
