Melting

When the Carolina Wrens come to the deck
I am instantly joyful.

This pair are always together now.

It is Spring.
Soon they will nest.

The white tulips began to open this afternoon.
The sun was strong and the temperatures rose.

The daffodils are trying to pop back up.

The snow is melting.

Let us hope Winter has had his last dance.

I thought of you today when I was trying to take a picture of a little Pine Siskin on the ledge outside our front window. We have so many birds right now...we love them all! Hope your little Spring flowers survive the cold!

Your little wrens are so cute. It will be fun to watch them nest. Poor daffodil with her head in the snow. Maybe she's giving the snow (and old man winter) a "talking-to" so they will not bother her (or you) again!

It will warm up!

Sherry, so good to hear from you and to know you had a fun with daughter :o) I adore all of your photos but you know - that yellow tulip in the snow spoke to me.

Hugs,
Mary

Hola Sherry,
It's so nice to see the seasons thru your camera and your eyes.
The melting snow and the arrival of Spring with its beauty.

We enjoy wrens too. Every year we have a pair nesting quite close to the house.

Lucky you, I hear the carolina wren but I never see them. Your poor daffodils with the snow. Well at least they are still blooming.

We didn't get the snow, but it's been cold at night, and between 40 to 58 during the days. It's supposed to get down to 21 later in the week.

It has been cold here but no snow, so far. I am hoping it will warm up. I really like the picture of the daffodil peeking out of the snow.

I like the photo of the daffodil rising out of the snow, with the bare patch of earth where it had sought refuge from the winter!! Makes me think of Easter, which is less than 2 weeks away!

The poor daffodil has its head burried in the snow. It's time for sunshine. I love your zen bird moments. You and your birds became one.
