Sunday safari

Patches of snow still lay in protected places.

Today is Owen's Day.

I care for his plants.
Today I had four blooms.

The lavender is blooming again.

Having the plants in the bedroom this winter
 has been delightful.

The sun came out this afternoon.
I sat on the deck with the birds
                                                                        and a book.

                                                         My friend's fourth mystery novel
                                                                   is in the book stores.
I love each of her stories.
Her characters are alive for me.
                                                                     This one is exciting!

                                                      February's hearts and flying carpets
                                                       are packed away.
                                                      I am ready for March's
                                                       kites and shamrocks.

I watched the Full Snow Moon last night.
Clouds have come in for tonight's moon rise.

I am making my plans for March.

                                                          My March journal is ready.

Each morning in March I will read a blessing.

It is time to celebrate the Irish.

Soon I will sow seeds.
I wonder if March will come in like a lamb or a lion?
Goodbye February!
Happy Sunday safari.

Brilliant

When the sun came out the ice shimmered.

I was dazzled by the light.

Just as I thought, "My world cannot ever be more beautiful,"

the birds came into the trees.

They shimmered in the light.
The Gold Finches have begun their
Spring molt.

They were singing this morning.
The ice and snow will melt soon.
Spring is stirring.

Sunday Safari

Ice covers the branches.

Ice on the walks.

Ice is keeping me indoors.

The birds are flocking to the feeders.

I am reading this winter.

Sacred geometry is fascinating.

I have books laid open all over the house.

I pick up a book and read a few pages
as I go about my day.

Books have be my winter delight.

I am learning.

I have bought gloves for cleaning
and gardening.
I have learned how to take care of my aging hair.

These films are amazing.
I found Jean Painleve on line.
These are must see films.
A lucky find at the library.
I am starting a novel this evening.
I am interested in the life of Michelangelo.
A steady freezing drizzle is keeping the skies gray.

My friend is coming to town this week
 for her book signing.

We will have kitchen table time.
Happy Sunday safari.

Pisces

 Welcome to Pisces.

We have entered the Twelfth House.

My archetype Angel is in Pisces.

This is the time for the crown chakra.
This is the time for violet and the note B.

I shall keep a few Dragons about.

I see the world with my artist eyes.

Cleaning and scrubbing can be beautiful.

I am planning my dyer's garden.

I am dancing.

I am cooking and baking.
These are the days of Pisces.
They will take us to Spring.

Mardi Gras

It is Carnival!

We danced in the living room.

Our Mambo
made me laugh!

We fixed red beans and rice
for our mid-day meal.

It has been a fun day just
listening to music and dancing.

The music of the Bayou
calls me to sway.

Dance nourishes my soul.

The history of Carnival is very interesting.

I begin Spring cleaning tomorrow.

It is a ritual for me.

I will clean each room,
each drawer and closet.

The snow lays on the frozen ground but I know
Spring is coming.

The daylight lingers a wee bit longer each day.
I look forward to hanging the sheets out on the line.
It has been a long winter.
Happy Mardi Gras.
