Have you visited the Japanese Garden in Portland? If you haven't, it's next to the Rose Garden in Washington Park and definitely a "must see"! I didn't get time to see it this trip, but saw it last August. I did visit the Classical Chinese Garden downtown, though, which is also so beautiful. Have a wonderful trip!Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27765182.post-41234913621629702542010-05-19T06:42:23.739-05:002010-05-19T06:42:23.739-05:00This is true poetry! I love the photo of the bird with the little umbrella above him:) We have seen some new birds in our yard this spring, and I'm consulting my book on Illinois birds to identify them. I wish they would just stay in one place long enough for me to compare them with the photos:)Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27765182.post-58887113943628457672010-05-17T07:07:19.891-05:002010-05-17T07:07:19.891-05:00Those birds are so wet! Wet and cold is not a good mix when the birds are feeding their young.

Your photographs always tell a story.

Your trip will be amazing. So much to see and do. Rock pools are fun....something I enjoyed as a small child. Grandfather would take me to the beach and with him I would go on a voyage of discovery.

I have no street lighting here. I star gaze when the night is free from clouds. So many stars........

Lovely safari....always a pleasure to share Sunday with you.
