The Season of the Ancients

We celebrate each day in October in a special way. Sometimes we have two or three activities. Today we begin the wearing of orange and black. I was wondering how I was going to photograph this activity when Miss Monarch floated down into the zinnias. Bless her for landing on an orange flower.
She was not alone. It has been a couple of days since I have seen any Monarchs. I have three orange and black frames I was hoping to put October butterfly photos in. Nice to have Monarch on October First.
This evening, before we walk, we will turn our outside lights on. Maybe my husband will take a photo. I would love to share with you the orange glow of the house.

I will light one of the candles in the Haunted Forest. Each night I will light another candle until all 31 are glowing on the 31st.
