"K"

"K" is for kite.

My friend gave me a stained glass kite a few years ago.
Kites are in the gardens

and in the house. Soon these kites will be in the sky.

I love flying kites! It is a family tradition that every Easter my family of 30, young and old fly kites...I can't wait til Spring!

Dear Tattered Nest,
We are kite people! The kites come out in March and stay out until September. I have a small pocket kite I travel with. Two large fancy kites decorate the stairwell. They have flown but the little diamond kites are our everday "go fly a kite."
Such a nice family tradition.
"Let's go fly a kite!"
May your winds be kite perfect.

Let's Go Fly A Kite Lyrics

Mr. Banks:
With tuppence for paper and strings
You can have your own set of wings
With your feet on the ground
You're a bird in a flight
With your fist holding tight
To the string of your kite

Oh, oh, oh!
Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!

Bert:
When you send it flyin' up there
All at once you're lighter than air
You can dance on the breeze
Over 'ouses and trees
With your first 'olding tight
To the string of your kite

Londoners:
Oh, oh, oh!
Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Let's go fly a kite!

Dear Sprite,
I am Singing in the rain!
Thank you so very much. This is one of my all time favorite songs.
"Let's go fly a kite"
...with your fist holding tight..
to the string of your kite!
Does not get any better than that!
When I cannot be out flying my kite I fly the kite in my mind!
"Oh oh oh.... Let's go fly a kite.
Dancing on the breeze,
