Hummingbird Days

The male Ruby Throated Hummingbird
has been checking out the feeder for the last few days.
My husband stopped mowing and came to get me.
The Hummingbird had stopped to feed.

The females will arrive soon.
I hope they nest.
I read they like the holes left by the Sapsuckers.
We have many of those!

    Wonderful, wonderful! The best hummingbird photos I've seen.

    I had one of those feeders from WBU and my husband accidentally dropped it. Arrrrgh! But now I have two others.

    Hi Mary,
    I was pleased to finally get male Hummingbird photos! thank you for the compliment. As the Hummers become "used" to me I hope to get some "Art" shots!
    Last year I did get some nice female Hummingbird photos but never the male.
    I have other feeders too. I will slowly get them cleaned and out. I have run out of hanging space. I need to get another feeding station. I have this idea for a Hummingbird only stand thing. I think the other birds sort of bother the Hummers. I will see what I come up with as the season unfolds.
    I broke a Hummingbird feeder "Art" piece my son gave. I was so sad. It was beautiful!
    I think your feeder is very pretty!
    The Hummingbirds are so very joyful!
