Once

in a Blue Flower Moon month

the breeze comes gently from the east.
The Earth is refreshed by a soft mist
and wishes made on the first star I see tonight, come true.
Spring has returned.
The ivy re-buds.
I inhale and smell Spring!

  1. Slowly but surely everything is re-leafing here too... and the shock of that bitter cold snap is becoming but a distant memory. Spring has sprung...yea!!!

  2. I'm looking from my office window at my cherry tree, covered in buds. Last night a Robin sat in the branches and sang until the sun went down. Spring is here. Isn't it glorious..?

  3. The rain helps. Say a prayer for us that it will rain tonight. I love the smell of rain.

  4. Hi Jayne,
So glad you also are having new leaves and re-blooms. The entire Mid-West was hit hard.
I hope I do not forget.... I hope I will appreciate Spring forever. I do not want to take it for granted ever again.
I do agree it will be nice to know April of 2007, as a memory!
    Yes, Spring is back.
    Yeah!

  5. Hi Sheila,
    Ohhh how beautiful!!
    Cherry Blossoms...oh my!
Plus the added glory of a Robin singing his evening song.
If I close my eyes I can see your tree with its Woodpecker's "Calling cards" and in full bloom with a Robin singing his heart out.
Thank goodness your Spring has come.
    Yes, it is glorious!
Thank you for the Cherry Tree and the Robin.
