Goodbye September

Goodbye September
and your warm afternoons.
The flowers are fading
the leaves are beginning to fall.
Goodbye.
Farewell.
Thank you!

    Goodbye September!

Hopefully we will really get to have an autumn in October. I look forward to cooler days that stay in the 50's and 60's for a while.

    Blessings,

  4. A summer person, I'm not looking forward to cold and gray BUT I know I can return to your site anytime for lovely views of color and beauty! Thanks!

  5. Dear Cathy,
October is always so beautiful here. Not only do the leaves turn and the temperatures cool down but I decorate inside and outside. I really "do up" the October House.
I have daily activities and events!
October is a fun month at my house.

  6. Hi Mon@rch,
    LOL!!!
Miss Hummer does look as if she has no color. The bright afternoon sun washed her out! I am looking forward to cooler afternoons.

  7. Dear Sprite,
Me too! The afternoons have been so warm. I cannot sit still in the sun and have good bird time! I just get too hot.
    Hello October!

  8. Hi Tumblewords,
I think I am a Spring and Fall sort of girl. Summers are too hot for me anymore. Last winter I was outside everyday and loved every minute of it.
There always seems to be something rather lovely outside to take a picture of! I go to your poems for inspiration.
    Thank you..

  10. Dear Mary,
    Zip-zap-zip! The earth does spin!
I have slowed my world down very much in the last few years. Time was moving too fast. I now savor each moment!
She did look white in the sunlight!
    On to October!
    Sherry
