Nurtured by Nature

I am celebrating
Mother's day outside.

It was 39 degrees when I went to feed the birds.
The wind is blowing out of the north.
Thank goodness for sunshine.

I was concerned for the Hummingbirds.
When the female came to her feeder I was pleased.

When she perched up for a chat I was nourished!

Happy Mother's Day

  5. Happy mothers day Sherry.
The little hummingbird is just so perfect. You worry like I do about the little creatures that inhabit our gardens. I hope they are all okay.

  7. BBBbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 39 is cold. Love that sunshine though. We had wind and rain all day long. The temp hovered around the mid 50's.

Seeing the hummers so close up is amazing - we still haven't had them visit the feeders yet.

  9. Happy Mother's Day, Sherry.

You are so blessed. Perhaps the hummingbirds wanted to be warm and fly inside with you? Wouldn't surprise me...

  13. Dear Cheryl,
Oh yes, I worry about the bugs and the birds and the blooms! LOL.
It seems I spend most of my thinking time wondering what is going on outside. I dream about the birds and the bugs too. LOL
All is well. The little female Hummingbird and I are getting to know each other. I think she is a darling.

  15. Dear Lisa,
The sun makes all the difference on chilly mornings!
I am enjoying our cool spring.
The blooms are lasting so very long.
I have my fingers crossed that I will have peonies for Memorial Day this year. I hope so! They are just starting to bud.

  17. Dear Mary,
I would love little Hummingbirds to be inside with me! Might make a mess on the antiques but who cares right???
As it is I seem to spend as many hours as possible outside with them.
Happy Mother's Day to you too.
    Hugs,
    Sherry
