Wow! That spider would give me cause to pause! She's pretty, though. The inriticacy of her web is breath taking. All the creatures here are slowing down and preparing for the long winter ahead; except for the bears. They are in high gear trying to make up for a late salmon season. I feel an early winter is nye for AK. :( Love, Vikki
Dear Sherry.....the colours in these photographs are beautiful....the thistle is stunning, without the bee it would be less........the spider webs never cease to amaze me such wonderful artwork.......
Dear Lisa, Thank you. The sweat bee was tiny! I am so aware of all the webs. The spiders are fattening up to lay their eggs. Wish I could send you some rain. It looked as if Fay was bringing you some. I hope so. Sherry
Dear Vikki, How wonderful to even think about bears and salmon....I have a buggy brain. Maybe this winter you will get out and take pictures of your city??? Sherry
Dear Wren, I was surprised while in the woods that we saw so few bugs. I guess it was too early and they were still sleeping! A few bees were up. Sherry
Dear Cheryl, I am very wild for thistle right now. I agree without a bug the thistle looks sterile, add a bug and instantly the thistle is fantastic! I hope to get some more thistle pictures this week. Always fun to hunt for bugs with you. Sherry
Gorgeous photos Sherry. I really like the bee on the yellow flower. I have never seen one of those before.
ReplyDeleteI walked through a spider web along a path in our garden yesterday. My mouth was open, yuck. I didn't ever see who made the web.
We toasted while out birding this morning. UGH We still need rain.
