Dear Grammy, Thank you. Our little song comes from "Flower Fairies of the Autumn" by Cicely Mary Barker. She has these for each season. Happy New Moon, Sherry
How appropriate, Sherry--I have buckets of apples just waiting for me to put up. They have been bountiful this year. And I have heard of Michaelmas in poetry before, but didn't realize it was Sept. 29.
Dear Rose, My neighbor's apple tree is full of ripening apples. The ground below is also full of ripe (rotting) apples. The butterflies love those! September's New Moon name changed this year... October now has the Monarch New Moon. A bit of tweeking....it happens. LOL. I was very excited Michaelmas was on New Moon. I thought it would be nice to celebrate them together. Long ago Michaelmas was a very important holiday. Sherry
Dear Chris, Thank you! Happy New Apple Moon to you too. I always think of you when I am spending time with the moon. Hope your Autumn is crisp and delicious! Hugs, Sherry
