You captured the different hues of the Blue Jay perfectly Sherry. Don't worry about cleaning until a rainy day. We have so few of these beautiful warm autumn days to look forward to. Might as well relax and enjoy them.
What a beautiful blue jay! The bright blue skies are quite a change from the fog of yesterday. I hope, too, you enjoyed the day instead of cleaning, Sherry.
I really enjoyed your slide show on Friday--not only the beautiful pictures, but the thoughts as well. The ancients were so in tune with nature; modern man has lost too much of that.
Blue Jay is stunning Sherry....almost takes your breath away......and the maples are so beautiful, mine are nearly bare.....just one maple still has her leaves.....winter is coming......
Dear Rose, Thank you. I agree ancient man was connected to nature. I think they had to be to survive. I think it is sad that modern man has lost this connection. I need to be connected daily or I too would not survive! Glad you enjoyed the slide show. Sherry
Dear Marnie, The Blue Jays have become very friendly. I have three now that come for their peanuts in the morning. I think they are pretty birds. Sherry
Dear Cheryl. Winter is indeed coming! We are having a thundershower this evening. We can use the rain. It does mean the last of the leaves will drop. It has been a fantastic Autumn at my house. I am looking forward to some Indian Summer later in the month. The Blue Jays are so friendly I think they would take the peanuts right out of my hand if I offered them! Sherry
Dear Marmee, I do choose outside over cleaning most of the time. When I am packing one month up and getting the next one up and out I zone out! The decoarating bug bites. I did take breaks this time so I could enjoy the marvelous sunshine. Sherry

ReplyDeleteYour tree looks lovely and your bluejay perfect!
ReplyDeleteOhhh - if the light in the trees calls you - go with it.
Enjoy your day.
Save the packing for later! I'm with Wendy on this. Go enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteOh my...what a stunning tree. It's beautiful. I wish we had foliage like that here in my neck of the woods. :)

Gorgeous hues, the opposite spectrum of the oranges and the blues.
ReplyDeleteHey, that rhymed! I am a poet, and I didn't even know it.
Dear Lisa,
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to be inside when it is warm outside. I did get my work caught up so I could spend some time with the birds.
Sherry
Dear Wendy,
ReplyDeleteWhen the light is just right one must go take photographs!
I love the Autumn light. It seems to come from inside the leaves.
Sherry
Dear Mimi,
ReplyDeleteYep! I had to go outside and do my cleaning and decorating after sunset! How are the Monarchs? I must pop over and visit.
Sherry
Dear Susie,
ReplyDeleteThe trees have been outstanding this year. We have had a wet year. I think that makes all the difference.
