It was warm here today too. At least all the snow melted off the streets and most of the garden. You can really see the micro climates in the garden when this happens. I can see where it is cooler, where the snow didn't melt, than other spots in the garden.
I saw some of these milkweed seeds in the garden today too. It was a surprise to me. Fun to see.
I haven't seen the cardinals, Mr or Mrs in my garden for a couple of weeks now. I hope the extreme cold we had didn't cause them any harm. Tell me, what did the sun look like...I've forgotten!?
Dear Lisa, Watching the milkweed pods open and the seeds fly forth is always so lovely. I was pleased with the photographs and just had to post! Sherry
Oh those pics look wonderful! We always seem to get a little break towards the end of January. As if Mother Nature is teasing us - or letting us know that spring will definitely be here (sooner or later). LOL
Stunning pictures, so beautiful. I think, as winter isn't over yet, we shall have still more cold fronts to come until it's Spring. Everytime I see a cardinal (in books, other blogs etc.), I have to think of you. I saw this bird for the first time in my life here in your blog. Have a great time! Barbara
what delightful photos of the warmth and sunshine on your birds and plants. the sun makes everything glisten. then your ability to capture them is wonderful. thank you so much for sharing.
As the others did, I enjoyed your pics. We have had up and down temps, too. I think it was Thursday we had a record high of 60 degrees, and the next day, it was back to the teens. Right now it is 10 degrees, and it says on my computer, "Unknown Precip". We had about an inch of snow Friday, and I'm not sure how much last night. It's supposed to snow more today. May I come to Texas with you? I could pack lightly.
I am definitely warmed by visiting your blog. Your first to photo to evoke a little feeling of cold and snow followed by the hot brightness of the cardinals.
Beautiful ....as always! And thank you for the little fairy for my blog! I put her on the sidebar to live for awhile!
