The third photograph made me shiver.....for me it shows the true beauty of the forest.....I am at one in the woods....I belong to the trees and moss.....
Another few weeks and your tree will be breaking bud.....It is exciting to think that you have a tree here......
Beautiful pics Q The birds are so different to anything I've seen. Makes you realize how species differ according to region, even in the same country. xx
Dear Lisa, I enjoyed seeing the different birds...I really enjoyed being in the forest with my daughter. Sharing the trees with her was wonderful. Sherry
Dear Scienceguy288, The forest is very incredible. I hope you do get to go someday. Lake Quinault Lodge is a great place to stay. I have enjoyed your science cup! Lots of fun and I learned so much. Thank you! Sherry
Dear Shelia, So many birds! It is amazing how different habitats support different birds. I enjoy traveling. I really enjoy birding and seeing different butterflies. My favorite part of this trip was seeing my daughter! Sherry
Dear MAry, I had thought I would actually write down all the birds I have seen in my lifetime last winter but did not get to it! Maybe one of these days I will. I have a beautiful Audubon Life List Journal I could fill in. I have seen so many lifers this year. It was great to see this Jay. Sherry
That J is stunning. I've never seen one like that.
ReplyDeletewonderfull! I wish I could be there...
ReplyDeleteWow, wonderful pictures Sherry.
ReplyDeleteThat stellar's jay is great! It seems so colorful that it belongs in a tropical rainforest.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to go there. Such a strange idea...a rainforest in the northwest.
Also, don't forget to vote for your favorite team to win the scientist cup:
