Sunday Safari

I sat in the chamomile
and watched the hover flies.

They are so small.

The smell of chamomile made me drowsy.

The sound of the bees in the Lupines
made me smile.

Yet it was the Hummingbirds

that took my breath away.

  7. A very successful safari, Sherry! How exciting to see the hummingbirds once again. I thought it was still too cool here to put up my feeders, but I did see my first one a week ago enjoying all the flowers I had just purchased. I was glad to see they liked my choices:)

  8. Dear Sherry.....the day was a successful one for your safari. It was bleak here, so I saw very little...

I love the hummingbirds, we do not have them here, so to see them at your house......is a dream come true.

I love hoverflies......I am beginning to understand these little creatures a lot more...

BUT for me the bees will always be my favourite....and your bumble is delightful.......

Have a good week....I have a busy one bzzzzz......

  14. We are still waiting for the hover flies. Bees have been buzzing around though, they must be happy to find places that provide continuous blooms for food.
