Beautiful images of the letter H! We were thinking somewhat along the same lines:) But I'm still waiting to get that one good photo of a hummingbird this summer; I knew you would have the perfect image, Sherry!
My favourite is your hibiscus. The angle is quite unique and you can see the veins clearly, because of the light shining through. I am always looking for a better angle to snap flower pics. Full face can be beautiful, but it's nice to have some variety. Your hollyhock shows the same perfect angle to show off the pretty flower.
I envy your hummer shots. I haven't even attempted to photograph birds yet, and hummingbirds are especially hard to pin down. One day...
I enjoyed this post. Nice that we are still in summer for a few more days.
Always such beautiful pictures here. Excellent. I'm afraid my own photography is terrible.
ReplyDeleteH is for Happy to see your photos.
ReplyDeleteAs always, a beautiful visual essay on "H's"!
ReplyDeleteGood hummingbird shots are always envied...
Such wonderful 'H' subjects. Sweet to see the little hummer who has journeyed to other lands now. It was 31F when I woke this morning.

What Heavenly H's you have today. My favorite is the Heron. Oh, how I'd love to get a photo of our locals hanging out at the ponds :) -Tammy
ReplyDeleteLots of goodies here, but I'll go for the hummingbird - a bird I have never seen in real life.
ReplyDeleteLove the hyacinth! Beautiful colour and very nice close-up!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love the delicate color of the hollyhock.
ReplyDeleteGreat series of H words and pix. Love the hummingbird in all its splendor.

Lovely H's - The colour of the Hummingbird is exquisite & what a pretty white house - is it yours?
ReplyDeleteWonderful choices for H! Is that your own 'house'? Very nicely done.

ReplyDeleteWonderful flowers and birds!

There's a lovely Seals & Crofts song, "hummingbird, don't fly away, fly away." as lovely as your photos.
ReplyDeleteA great H series, but I'm really partial to the hummingbird photo. Great work, Sherry.
