Beautiful photos of the orioles! You've been taking photos for only 4 years? You have such a wonderful eye. We are studying up for our trip too, I need to find out about the birds we may see going up to and in Alaska.
I saw my first oriole a few days ago. My picture was taken very quickly through the window with my point and shoot camera. I'm so glad I saw it and got the picture because I haven't seen it again.
Good morning Sherry, I hope that you slept well. The orioles are stunning birds. Your gardens must be so colourful at this time of year when the birds are wearing their breeding gowns. I do hope the orioles stay and nest in your gardens.
I have many breeding blue tits in the garden. Managed to get a beautiful photograph yesterday of a blue tit with a tiny green caterpillar in his beak. I shall use for safari tomorrow.
What gorgeous birds - stunning colours - and what lovely sharp photos you have manged to get of them. I hope they nest in or near your garden and visit often.
Great pictures!! Orioles arrived in our garden a few weeks ago. Very quickly I filled the Oriole feeder and the birds returned every day. Here is great website to help to identify birds. http://www.whatbird.com/ - Cheers Gisela. Thank you for visiting my blog.
Beautiful! I took photos of a pair of birds, wasn't sure if they were orioles or goldfinches, and included them on my Skywatch Friday, May 21st post. Looking at your photos here, I think they're orioles.

Breathtakingly beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI bet they will nest nearby since you have a pair there. These are the most tropical looking birds in our area, to me.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, Sherry :-)
