The thistle is a beautiful wild flower~my son's fav~they pop up along side our long drive way~and my son always begs me to let them be, so we do~so much fun to watch the butterflys, insects and birds enjoy them! You're 'thistle bug' capture is my favorite~WOW what a capture! I just adore those thistl...How lovely they all are!<br />I just adore those thistles- we called them Scotch Thistles, as they are the Scottish Emblem flower. We used to eat the somewhat sweet nutlike centre, once the petals were all plucked off! The super macros of the little insects are amazing! We have some thistle growing wild around the farm here, and I've noticed how much the bees and butterflies love it.
