Earth Hour

Tonight at 8pm
people all over the planet are turning off their lights for one hour.
This is known as Earth Hour.

An hour for awareness.
Please join in from 8-9 pm your time zone.
I hope to see some stars!

March is going out at my house like a sleeping Lion.
I shall keep the lights off and let him rest!

I love your photography - they are so moving. I have you on my list of favorites. I also have put down about the hour of no electricity - maybe we can go longer? Sign my area still has snow... I'm waiting for Spring. Thank you so much -JG

Hi Sherry.....My nieces are in Australia at the moment. They watched from their apartment as the lights went out at the Opera House etc. They sat quietly in candlelight and said it was a lovely moment. My husband and I are about to turn ours out in a few moments.
A good reason to come together, save the planet.

Well, now darn it, it's 9 dollars and 43 cents. I missed it.

March is leaving like an irate lion down here in southern NC.

Dear Anna,
I think Phoenix, Arizonia was participating this year. Maybe your neighbors were also turning out the lights for an hour!
Spring will spring in your gardens at home soon. It will be nice to see your roses again.

Dear JG,
Nice to meet you.
Glad you also posted about Earth Hour.
Awareness can do so much. I do a waste not want not sort of life. Yet still there is much I can do. Staying aware is important.
Thank you. I am pleased you enjoy the photo essays.
They sure are fun to do.
Looking forward to reading your journal.

Dear Cheryl,
It must have been empowering to see the lights in Sidney go out.
I do not think my city did anything. My husband heard about Earth Hour on the radio.
I think we need Earth Hour every day!

Dear Mary,
I am being very quiet....do not want to wake this Lion. I heard severe weather is all around us.
Hope your birds are okay.
The Tarheels are doing so wonderful! I have been enjoying March Madness this year.
No worries on Earth Hour...you can turn off your lights anytime and think happy earth thoughts!
You are up late, young lady!
Saturday night wild time???

Dear Mel,
Just the awareness helps!
We all need to start voting with our checkbooks. I am convinced if no-one bought a new car for a month and consumers insisted on clean air and water things would change.
I think people in the US need to wake up!
Sorry to have missed a note!
I will order the kiwicha.
Looking forward to it!
Sherry

Gom & I sat in candlelight. He kept looking out the windows to see how many others turned off the lights.
"Not enough!" he grumbled.

Dear Meggie,
I do not know if anyone in my city paid any attention at all. I live in a rather "dull" community! Awareness is slow to come to the Mid-west!
I guess we just have to do the best we can!
