Hello

I heard a new call.
I heard a different song.

I think perhaps a Swainson's Thrush?

The Tufted Titmouse comes and goes all day long.
Such a cute little call he has.

The female Cardinal is chasing Blue Jays today.

She has a nest in the White Pine tree.

I can just imagine all the wonderful bird song you are hearing! We have had some wonderful cardinal songs this afternoon serenading us as we ate our lunch outdoors :-}

Sherry, may I move in with you for a week of birds and healing? You are incredibly talented. Your photos and words tell a story so sweetly. I will admit a little jealousy here :o) I've learned so much from you. Least words are better. I'm working on that.

Dear Deb,
The morning chorus has been very lovely! I too enjoy the Cardinal's song. Eating lunch outside with the birds is wonderful now. The mosquitoes are not out yet!

Dear Mary,
You are always welcome to come to my house and gardens. Bring a hat, sunglasses and your camera. We will let the birds and bugs come to us while we sip sweet nectar on the deck and giggle.
I do always hope the pictures tell most of the story. These are suppose to be photo essays...LOL
Hugs,
Sherry

Dear Wendy,
I do like the up close pictures of the birds.
Sometimes the birds let me take their portraits.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

You have such a lovely variety of birds, and they all look so happy to be in your yard!

Dear Rose,
I think there are around 30-40 different varieties in any given month.
The birds migrate and some stop by for a few days or weeks.
Sometimes I get to become friends take their photo!

Dear Anna,
I wonder why the slide show would not play for you?? Silly blogger.
So glad the Cardinals have found your gardens. They will stay too and raise their young. They also will come back every year. I think you will really enjoy them. Their song is so lovely. The male and the female sing. I just adore the female Cardinal.

Dear Lisa,
Thank you for helping me with this id. I had never seen one before.
I almost e-mailed a picture to you!
My Swainson looks a bit different than the pictures in the bird field guides.
How wonderful to have a nesting Cardinal. Yes!!
They are beautiful birds.
Soon I hope you will see babies.
