1998 - 2002

Love is Real
Not Fade Away
1998-2002

Grandpa takes care of the Swamp Oak Tree.
He trims the grasses and brings garden mulch.

Grandma caresses the leaves.

We remember.
Our love will never fade.

My thoughts are also with you today Sherry. It is difficult to let go of those we love. The oak tree is a perfect memorial to your grandson.

Dear Carol,
Owen's tree is right by the fence of the cemetery. I can see it growing strong from my office or from the kitchen windows. When I walk in the cemetery I walk past and marvel at how much it has grown. One of these days, if all goes well, Owen's Swamp Oak, will be one of the tallest in the cemetery. It is nice to have a tree to decorate and to tend to.
Thank you for your love and light,
Sherry

Dear Lisa,
June is full of memorial days for my family. We have birthdays and die anniversaries. The Circle of Life we understand, being gardeners we know the way of seed to seed.
Thank you for your kind support and friendship,
Sherry

Dear Vikki,
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words and your support. There is always joy in sadness. We just have to look for it. The older I get the more anniversaries I have to remember.
It is easier to shoulder life when we share. Thank you for sharing in this day.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Mary,
When I was over visiting Owen's tree I thought about these past six years.
I thought about my son and the love he gave to Owen. Never easy but so worth it!
Thank you for being near and dear.

Sherry, I've been reading your blog for just a month or two now and didn't know much of your background. I have tears rolling down my face as I read this. I have 5 beautiful grandchildren, and I can't imagine...My heart goes out to you.
This is a wonderful way to preserve his memories.
Much love, Rose

Dear Rose,
Thank you for your kind words. Life is what it is. We love and keep loving. I sometimes do get tired.
The birds, the butterflies and bees keep me going. Since I started blogging I have met so many wonderful people. Thank you for sharing in this journey. Give a Grandchild a hug for me and a cookie!
Namaste,
Sherry
