Summertime

This is a most appropriate song for today. It is in the 90's here already and sweltering humidity. Summer is definitely here.

I hope you aren't experiencing some of the horrible storms that are predicted for your area. Thnakfully they have been fizzling out by the time they get to our area. We could actually use some rain here.

I love this rendition of Summertime ~ it certainly does feel like it today. Yesterday, we wore winter jackets to an outdoor concert - today, it is in the high 80's and very humid.
Your Summertime images were just gorgeous.
Have a lovely weekend.

Beautiful, Sherry! It's going to take me a while to catch up - started at the last, so to work backward. Great shots and the music is incredibly fine. Love that song. We're in rain, now. Fifties and rain. Summer can't be far behind...?
So good to see your work!

Dear Lisa,
Summer is here too. I am staying cool inside. Some rain and wind have hit my gardens but no damage. We have been lucky. The worst has gone around. I did receive almost five inches of rain in a couple of days. The weeds have taken over, again, I just cannot keep up!
I still have seed to plant too.
Maybe next week I will be able to get the rest of my seed in the ground.

Dear Deb,
Up and down the temps have gone. We are in the ups too...very humid and sticky.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures and the music. I am a Doc Watson fan. We saw him in concert at a small venue years ago and I was thrilled.
May you also enjoy your weekend.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of Kate's new place.

Dear Sue,
I am so happy to see you back. I kept you in my thoughts. Never you worry about catching up...I can tell you Corner has been all about birds, bugs and blooms! About the same as the last couple of years, LOL.
I am just so happy you are okay.
Easy does it...don't sit too long and get tired.
Lots of good tea and rest.
Take care of yourself, friend.

Great song and video, yes summer heat has come to my area too. However on my walk today, did find a yellow leaf. I'm like "that's a little too early"

One of my favorite summer songs...and you captured a firefly. Wow! We called them lightning bugs in Maryland :o)

Dear Cathy,
Yellow leaf makes me think too little or too much water??? No way leaves are turning, at least not here in North America. Meggie is most likely seeing the changing leaves.
I am expecting storms again tonight and into tomorrow.
These are summer storms for sure.
Stay cool. The humidity always is the worst part pf summer.
Watch out for bears!

Dear Meggie,
Thank you. I was thinking of you when I selected this piece..you have "Autumn Leaves" goodbye summertime.
I am so glad you enjoyed this.
Hopefully we will have more and more butterflies as the season unfolds.

Dear Carol,
Even though Solstice is not for a couple of weeks I have summertime temps and humidity at my house.
I am a Doc Watson fan. His music stirs my soul. Glad it also gave you a measure of peace.
Hope you are staying cool and comfortable.
We have big wind and storms coming again. These are tornado days ...you also are in tornado country...Stay safe, dear friend.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Mary,
It is summertime at my house...you are Goddess of the Endless Summer.
My temps are not as high as yours. Come July we will be up into the
90's and maybe hit 100. Over 90 and I am inside. If the humidity gets too high I am inside regardless of temp.
My husband took the Firefly photo..he is good!
When I was a little girl I also called them lighting bugs.
Sometimes I still do.
I am trying to see my summertime sweat as a lovely glistening on the skin. If I can still be out to walk, do some weeding and get a few photos each day I am pleased.
Summertime and the living can be easy. May be so for you.
Hugs,
Sherry
