Holiday Weekend

Tonight is the beginning of a three day holiday weekend.
Many people will go to the lakes to be on boats and in the water.
May they travel safely; may they be full of care on this holiday weekend.

I will be home with the Hummingbirds

and the Tiger Swallowtails.

I have seen the Zebra Swallowtail twice!
No pictures yet.
The Paw-paw bushes are her host plant and they are leaved out!
Maybe this weekend I will get lucky.

Happy Independence Day Sherry. The fireworks have begun in our neighborhood tonight. Poor Luna is under the desk.

Dear Sherry....I know where I would rather be and it is not on the boats and traveling.
Your photographs are pure and absolute joy.....

Happy hunting on Sunday....and happy 4th July to you and your family.

Happy Independence Day! Those are some nice pictures. I know I'd be happy to have Hummingbirds and butterflies on the 4th.

Dear Lisa,
We also had early firecrackers...
I am like Luna, under my desk!!
The birds jump too everytime one goes off.
Stay safe.

Dear Cheryl,
Thank you.
I like a quiet lake with pristine water. I know of a few and they are far-far away from my house. I love a row boat or a canoe...I am just a romantic naturalist at heart.
I love bug hunting with you on Sundays.

Dear Chris,
Thank you!
We have a racocon that drinks the Hummingbird nectar and a hive of bees that drink from the other feeder...I must stay home and defend the feeders for the Hummers!
The Bee Balm is just beginning to bloom. I must be here to see who comes...I am waiting for the Spicebush Swallowtails and the Pipevine Swallowtails. I have tasty nectar and host plants. Hope they find me!

Dear Mel,
Thanks...I do like to take pictures...
In the summertime I really like taking pictures of butterflies and Dragonflies. I like birds too and lovely flowers and trees and critters of all types. I think I just love nature.
Hope you are enjoying any time off you get.
Sherry
