Love those gourds Sherry. Did you just take their picture or did they follow you home? Your moth might be a Grape Leaf Skeletonizer. I can't tell for sure. That is probably what I would call it if it was in my garden.
I love Honey Crisp apples but my favourite apples are Jonagold. For baking I use Ida Red apples.Next week is apple picking time in Salem, Ontario. I ma always surprised to see the wonderful butterflies, birds and insects on your blog. Just amazing..Cheers Gisela

These apples look scrumtious! I've never tried taht kind; what type of flavour are they? That Red Spotted Purple looks absoutely regal. :)Love, Vikki.
lovely gords and creatures. i love fall festivals, with all the crafts and artisans. enjoy your new finds.
Dear Lisa,Just pictures! I have lots of gourds at my house.....I love the colors and the folk painting on these.I forgot all about the Grape Leaf Skeletonizer! Love the name...very Octobery.Sherry
Dear Cheryl,I thought these were beautiful too. I am thinking about doing up some more of my gourds. I like the black silhouette painting on the gold leaf. I just might set up my painting table again and do some crafting. I see ravens and bats....Each morning I have an apple for breakfast. When the Honey Crisp are in season I am so pleased. They are my favorites. We had fun at the festival.Sherry
Dear Gisela,Jonagolds are yummy too. Apples are just a fantastic food! I like them raw and cooked.Years ago I had an apple tree in the back yard. It was alwasy fun when the apples were ready for picking. Once the cool down comes to my house I hope to do some baking. Apple cobblers and pies and crisp....oh my I can almost smell them.Sherry
Dear Grammy,Thank you.I try and do a wee bit different photo each year. We go "appleing" every year to the same cider mill. The festival was a surprise for us.Sherry
Dear Belen,Thank you.Hope everyone goes for apples. They are sooooooo good for us.I sometimes will have an apple in the afternoon when I need a pick me up!Sherry
Dear Vikki,The Honey Crisp are very juicy and crisp! They are a tiny bit tart too. I love them. I find they hold their crisp too. Very slow to go mealy. The Red-spotted Purple is a fantastic butterfly. My husband took this picture for me with his camera. I had the macro lens on mine and could not get close enough. He had the telephoto lens on his. We must look like a pair with these cameras hanging around our necks and snapping pictures everyplace we go. LOLWe have fun. Glad you enjoy the pictures. Sherry
Dear Marmee,I also love Autumn festivals. The crafts and the arts are so inspiring.I like to buy pottery.Sherry
Sherry, what's the flower your mystery moth is settled on?
Dear Mary,I am not sure what this flower is. We went walking at the Arboretum and I took this moth picture there. I bet they did have a plant marker but I did not look for one.It is a pretty flower.Sherry
I am full of admiration for your butterfly photos....and for butterflies of course! It's very calming to watch them dancing from flower to flower. Unfortunately now it's getting cold here and so these lovely dancers will soon disappear until next year.
Dear Barbara,I will miss the butterflies once it gets cold. This morning I had breakfast withthe butterflies and the bees. A cold front is moving in...it could be the last time I get to be with them until next spring. Always hard to say, "goodbye."Sherry
