I stood in the front yard before supper
and watched as the full Beaver Moon rose.
I planned to serve our savory pie at 6pm.and watched as the full Beaver Moon rose.
I have a hot cup of ginger tea and a moon bath planned for later.
November's full moon is also know as the full Frosty Moon.
It is not frosty tonight but I will need a blanket as I catch moon beams.

Beautiful moon shot Sherry. It poured rain here all day yesterday (tuesday). I am not complaining as we needed the rain.

My feet are all cozy in their wool slippers this morning! They are washable too!
I am thinking about next Tuesday's project. Not sure what it will be. I do want to make some silk slippers to do my Stumpwork on. I might get those started. I have a boiled wool sweater that has lovely crewel work on it. It is white and very pretty. I am thinking a hatband hat and matching bag would be nice for December wearing. I could do them too. I might have time for all three.
November is pie month at my house.
The savory pie was delicious and so easy to make!
I am thinking come January I will start a cooking journal. Since Wednesday is now "cook from a recipe" night I think having a cooking blog would be fun. (Normally I make my dishes up.)Each month I showcase a different sort of cooking at my house. Maybe a spot to share ideas would be inspiring for me and for others.
December is all about cookies!
I do think life is fun!

We just began Indian Summer yesterday. I was walking when the wind shifted to the south. I could almost smell the gulf air!
It is to be lovely this afternoon. I hope to be outside.
When it is in the 60's in November I often see butterflies and bees!

Glad you received some rain. It really has been too dry for you this year. I am good on rain. We had a wet spring and summer. Autumn seems to be just fine too.
I was just talking about Indian Summer starting yesterday...the Full Moon names I use are from the American Indian tradition. I named the New Moons a few years ago!
(I was shocked the 12 Grandmother Moons were nameless.)

Dear Cheryl,
I thought of you as I faced east and watched the Moon rise last night. I think you are 6 hours ahead of me. As I bowed to Miss Moon I sent a blessing to you and your loved ones. I do hope November brings smiles to all of your family.
My savory pie was delightful. For some reason once food is made into a pie it tastes delicious.
This was as spinach, mushroom, onion pie with fresh garden sage, nutmeg and parmesan cheese.
I began working from a recipe but ended up only having the onion they called for. I closed my book and began creating!
It is a compliment to chef when seconds are asked for!

Quiche is always yummy!
A moon bath is like sun bathing only easier on your skin! I think moon beams actually subtract sun damage and they always leave my face refreshed and glowing!

Dear Rose,
I had to wear a hat and wrap up in my blanket but I was able to have some Moon time!
I am needing to be more creative in the kitchen now that the vegetable garden is resting. Sometimes it is hard to get excited for supper since I fix it most every night.
Doing a recipe helps to jazz me up. I also think I will get a cook book every month either from the secondhand bookseller or the library. I study different cultures each month so it would be fun to learn how to cook with different spices.
So much to learn!
