Sunday Safari

Ice covers the branches.

Ice on the walks.

Ice is keeping me indoors.

The birds are flocking to the feeders.

I am reading this winter.

Sacred geometry is fascinating.

I have books laid open all over the house.

I pick up a book and read a few pages
as I go about my day.

Books have be my winter delight.

I am learning.

I have bought gloves for cleaning
and gardening.
I have learned how to take care of my aging hair.

These films are amazing.
I found Jean Painleve on line.
These are must see films.
A lucky find at the library.
I am starting a novel this evening.
I am interested in the life of Michelangelo.
A steady freezing drizzle is keeping the skies gray.

My friend is coming to town this week
 for her book signing.

We will have kitchen table time.
Happy Sunday safari.

Happy Sunday. It sounds like your area got slammed. Darn weather. It has been mild here. I hate to say that out loud. We did see some mosquitoes yesterday. UGH... Be careful out there.

Gorgeous pictures of the ice, but I'm really not loving this weather. Your books look very interesting. I started back on 'low-gluten' last week. I enjoyed the title of that book because that is just the way I'm feeling now that I'm eating healthier again. Oh, do you think the western chorus frogs will be able to sing later this week? One of my favorite early spring announcers :) -Tammy

Every time I come here, Sherry, I marvel at all your interests and different activities. I love to learn new things all the time, so I find your different books fascinating. Reading is one of my favorite activities to pass the time during these these last few weeks of winter. The cardinals have kept me entertained as well. The ice looks lovely on the branches, but I hope it melts quickly.

"Kitchen table time" is the best! You weave a powerful story - it seems like every Sunday I check in with you and then look forward to an awesome week. Thank you!

Your Cardinals are so beautiful, such a stunning colour, I never tire of seeing them, we have nothing like them here.

I haven't read 'The Agony And The Ecstasy' but I do recall seeing the film some years ago and enjoying it.

Have a great time with your friend Sherry and a lovely week.

Sherry, my favourite of this lot of photos is the first one! Just the angle of his head, surrounded by the ice dripping from the branches! Maybe I am imagining it, but it looks as though the poor guy has some snow on his tail feathers!

Beautiful icy pictures Sherry. We are in the midst of a snow storm here which began around eleven and has continued steadily. Love all your "reads". Stay Warm ♥

your safari continues even in the icey days of winter and i am glad.
delving into books in the winter is a great past time and so comforting. your picks look intriguing. i may look into the one about hair care as i notice changes happening ever so slightly.
i always delight in seeing your bird friends. against the frozen branches they look stunning.

I agree with Judy - that first shot is truly awesome. Very different view of the cardinal.

Will have to look up some of those books. Beautiful nails, lovely hair - yup, I'd like that.

Enjoy your visit with your friend. Sounds like fun.

Best cardinal shot ever? I feel guilty enjoying these ice pictures from here, where it was over sixty and sunny today. But not THAT guilty.
