In like a cold lamb

March came in like a cold little lamb.
It was mostly cloudy today with a slight breeze out of the north.
I shivered when I went to feed the birds.

I sowed a few seeds this afternoon.

I will have clover and grass growing in pots
in the kitchen
and lettuce on the window sill.

I cleaned the spent tulip bulbs out of the copper
planter box and sowed the lettuce.

I will press clover for March cards.

I am dreaming of flying kites.

The temperatures are to rise for the wekend.
Maybe the wind will be just right to fly kites.
My kites are ready to take to the sky.

March here is a warm lamb. I haven't planted seeds yet - will plant some this week. Your lettuce looks like a delicious variety!

Happy March. Happy kite flying!

No matter the weather, March is always when spring starts here. I am glad it has arrived!

I've never tried growing lettuce. The red heirloom lettuce looks beautiful. Bet it will taste better than what you can get in the grocery store. We've grown broccoli the last couple of years and the difference between garden grown and store bought was like night and day.

It sounds like we had about the same weather yesterday Sherry. I love all of your March decor. It is so cheerful. It reminds me that it won't be long and we can be outside so much more. Yay....I can't wait to see if your 4-leaf clovers grow. What fun that will be if they take.

Sherry, I love your lettuce seedling set up - you have a way of describing your day or whatever you're up to that brings joy to the reader. I think I'll sow some seeds today even though it's raining cats and dogs - I know, I'll utilize my sunny (someday) window in the kitchen. Thanks for the inspiration and Happy Spring to you!

Ah, it's March and came like a lion yesterday. Hopefully it will blow old man winter right to his bed!
