I hope the little robin survives. We have a tiny Cardinal in our garden right now. It can barely fly. It is such fun to watch them grow. I hope you had a great 4th.
We have had several baby birds who fell out of their nests, especially when we had so many storms. I tried to put them back into the trees, safe from our cats, but I'm not sure their parents found them. The funny thing is Sophie, our Golden Retriever, loves to chase birds, but when she's found one of these distressed fledglings, she'll sit by it and protect it from anything going near it.
Love the photos of the goldfinch and the cardinal in your flowers!
You are so right, every day has a story to tell. One just has to listen to it, i.e. to watch and look and be attentive! I hope the little robin survived!

Dear Sherry, the little one looks as though she may have fallen from the nest. Were you able to put her back??
I have so many juvenile birds in my garden at the moment. The sparrowhawk is hunting, she has young to feed.
The image of the cardinal amongst the foliage is most beautiful......

Poor little Robin, it looked much too young to be out of the nest!

I love to look around at my surroundings for beauty, too! I don't know if I've ever seen a swan spread his wings like that! Amazing! ♥
