Aprons and Dollies

I have a new Dolly.

I posted about her on
Spirit of The Cowgirl.

When I was a little girl my Mother made me an apron.
I treasure this piece of my history.

I wear my Great Grandmother's apron when I spin.
The roving lints all over my clothes.
My Witch doll keeps my chair warm when I am not spinning.
She is part of my story.

Aprons have a remarkable history.
I wear one when I am working in the
 kitchen or when I garden.
I wear an apron when I create.

I have a collection of aprons, they are
like socks and hats,
I wear one most every day.
I need a new December apron.
Something with a bit of Cowgirl attitude.

I can hear the sewing machine humming now. I can just see you with your boots, hat and apron on wrangling Christmas dinner.

so it looks like you have a wee bit of cowgirl in you.... ;-} (in response to your ? on my art blog).

Aprons are wonderful and I almost always forget to wear mine, sometimes this inspires a drat - right before company appears and food is all over me.

I remember the days of aprons. My mother made me several over the course of my childhood and youth. I don't have any left, too bad.

Yours look splendid!

Can you believe December is already well under way? Where has this year gone?

Aprons are one of my favorite things, and I share that love with my youngest daughter. :)
