We walked as the moon rose.
Inland Sea Gulls flew to their roosts.
I spent the afternoon outside with the birds.
It warmed up to 42 degrees.
I wanted to be with the Cardinals
and Titmice.
I had not been out with the Blue Jays
the Red Breasted Nuthatches
or the Downy Woodpeckers all week.
It has been too cold.
The Christmas Cactus
is in bloom.
Happy Sunday Safari.

Sherry,
Enjoyed these photos as usual! The red-breasted Nuthatch is really cool! Saw a flock of close to 100 Canada Geese fly by here today, the largest flock I have seen here!
I thought they were canada geese too! Ours are long gone anyway.
Love your christmas cactus. Looks like she's sticking out her tongue!
And your cardinals are exquisite, I never get enough of looking at them.
Stay warm!
Wonderful photos, especially that first one. Great capture. Wow I bet that 40F feels like summer to you. It only got to 32 here yesterday but today it is nearly 40. I must say it feels wonderful.
A day in the 40's sounds like springtime to me! Glad you were able to get out and enjoy the day, Sherry. Delightful photos--I'm still waiting to see a nuthatch and the downy woodpecker here. But the common birds like juncos and sparrows are out in full force--I have to fill up the feeders every other day to keep up with them.
Your Christmas cactus blooms just in time! Merry Christmas to you and your family and all the best wishes for a healthy and happy 2011!
Christmas greetings and thank you so much for your lovely card!

I love to see photos of birds we don't have in our part of the country.
Have a wonderful Christmas.

Lovely photos of lovely birds - I'm glad it warmed up enough for you to be able to get out to see them :-D
Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas, and a happy and healthy new year.
Really enjoyed your photo of the Coopers Hawk and your paper garlands, that sounds like so much fun to make. All your photos are beautiful and your blog so inspiring. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Lovely pictures!!
Our colourful birds brighten our garden during the winter:)
