with the birds thinking about seeds.
I watched three Chick-a-dees chase each other about.
It is early for choosing mates.
The Cardinals continue to come to the deck for seed
and fresh water.
It was 60 degrees this afternoon.
The wind is to shift once again and a strong cold front is coming in,
by Wednesday it will be in the teens.
Our albinistic female Cardinal is a regular.
I also have more white on my head this winter than last.
I am involved in a serious study.
I want to understand the different religions
in my world. Shinto has elements I understand.
Nature is where I find awe.
I do need breaks from my studies so I am playing with paper
and hunting for dragons.
I was so pleased to find this teapot!
It matches my steeping mugs.
I have dragons all over my house.
Paper and silk dragons charm me.
My baskets are empty.

You are right at home in the Year of the Dragon, Sherry. Your birds are basking in the sunshine. I hope they're prepared for the cold to come! We are also expecting some snow - much needed. But, today sun when we snowshoe hiked. Your bird photography always seems to show a bit of their personality!
Hello dear Q Lady! you are so lucky with many things and I am happy to got your blog.
But with me something bad happened: somebody got into my computer and right now my blog is closed. But working on for better times to come.
I know the the person, seems he needs money and try to get it a wrong way. Love: J/bb :)
Sixty degrees! I do envy you. We are below zero (both F and C), which makes for freezing weather. Perhaps we are sharing our cold front with you? What? You don't want it? Oh dear. LOL!
Your little albino cardinal looks so unique in his colouring. I love the puffiness of your birds, and think spring is a long way away yet (hope I'm wrong).
I've never heard of Shinto. Will look it up. So pleased you've found a matching teapot for your steeping mugs. It's rare to find matching pieces for our kitchens.
Keep dragon hunting.
Hugs
It didn't get that warm here today. Maybe it will this week. Love that sunshine. Better to see dragons with.
Beautiful safari,,,as always.
Love those bird closeups.
Do you have a camera you can recommend? I need to upgrade and don't have a clue.
Thanks for any advice.

Dear Sherry,
So many beautiful images of the birds that visit your garden. Female cardinal always touches my heart.
The teapot is so beautiful....what a wonderful find. Colourful dragons......I do so love dragons :)
I do so hope the weather cools a little and you receive much needed moisture.
Love and light
Sherry I'm dreaming of spring and cozy summer days. love the birdie photos they are fun to see and always cheer me up.
I'm glad to see you were able to enjoy the mild weather and visit with all your friends outdoors. So nice to see all the different birds that visit you. I have been disappointed this year that my usual winter visitors haven't arrived. I think the mild winter has meant they are finding enough food in the fields that they don't need to come to my feeders.
Rollercoaster is a good way to describe our winter--we had snow and cold last weekend, and now we're back to the 50's and all the snow has melted. I wonder if the birds are as confused by it all as I am.
Sherry, I love that first female cardinal! She is just so well posed!! And the fluffy chickadee in the second photo - I had thought they were sleek birds!
We are getting freezing rain, ice pellets, and snow, in some combination today. I am hunkered down for the duration!
The head on shot of the chickadee is adorable. I haven't seen a Cardinal with any white, what a beauty!
