Hi Sheila, This is a female Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly. I watched her the other day, dry her wings. She had just emerged from her cocoon. I have been concerned that she would have trouble finding food. The bitter cold, eariler in the month nipped most of the flowers. Thank you!! The gardens have seemed rather dismal, Miss Swallowtail did raise my spirits. Sherry
