Female

I walked by the backdoor
and saw the female Rose-breasted Grosbeak at the feeder.
Slowly I opened the door
and took a few photos.

  2. Dear Mary,
These birds have a beautiful song!
Beautiful! There also is a Blue Grosbeak that is in both of our ranges.
    He is lovely.
    So many beautiful birds!

  6. Hi Naturegirl,
Today I am a wee bit more comfortable with the Grosbeaks and they with me. I hope to be able to do a bit more than a "Bird Report!"
I am working on "Let's Be Friends".

  7. Hi Jayne,
    I was so excited!!
I had never seen a Rose-breasted Grosbeak in person/bird. Only photos! I knew right away she was the female. She was hungry too!

  8. Hi Sheila,
I normally post when I download. Somedays are busy! I never know from day to day.
I do seem to be getting many birds lately! I think the food supply for them is off and they come here for food and drink and some r&r before moving on.
The regular birds don't seem to mind as long as the food supply stays the same for them!
There are many more birds that "could" come and I so hope they do.

  9. Hi Deb,
I also like to visit other areas of the country and the world via personal journals.
I find backyard gardeners and birders are the nicest people and they take the best pictures.
I get ideas too and stay inspired by friends!
I love coming to your blog and seeing your heaven on earth!
    Sherry
