Perseid Meteor Shower

The Perseid Meteor Shower
will peek tomorrow night August 12, 2007.
It will be the New Sunflower Moon so the skies will be dark.
Some shooting stars will be visible tonight if you can find a dark sky away from light pollution.

I want to go out into the country tonight.
We can put the top down and do some star gazing.

  1. Hmm I live out in the boonies, sticks or woods. Not sure if I'll see anything. I really need a good night sleep, so planning to turn in at 11

  3. Everyone knows what I will be doing! I live in the boonies, too. It should be fun...as long as the clouds stay away.

  6. Hi Cathy,
Away from the city would be very nice! We have so much light pollution that I seldom see a shooting star!
Maybe you could grab a quick glance up right before shut eye!

Late night is best! The darkest part of the sky too.
Hope you get to see a few shooters!

How nice to live far away from the maddening crowd and light pollution, air pollution and other city troubles.

    Me too!
There is a total eclipse of the moon on the 28th. Those are always fun too.
