After the rain

The rain stopped before sunset.

The wind died down as well.

The Cardinals are once again coming
to the feeders at sunset.

We choose Orange Pekoe tea
for after supper.

The new teapot cozy worked just fine.

  4. Dear Lisa,
So happy to hear you received some rain. It has been too dry for too long at your house.
We had a wet Spring, Summer and now Autumn. I do love rainy days.
I have watered the pots of mums on the deck a few times but so far no watering in the gardens.

  5. Dear Grammy,
    Thank you.
    I try. LOL
Finding different ways of taking pictures of the rain and the leaves can be challenging.
The telephoto lens has a nice bouquet. I liked the way it saw the leaf in it's sweet spot.

  8. Wonderful wonderful wonderful, Sherry!

We had rain and a bit of wind yesterday. The leaves held on. We're hoping they're still around at the end of the month, when we go to SW Mo. I love this time of year.

  10. Dear Marnie,
I love rainy days. It was cold last night, 38 degrees. Autumn is in full swing.
Anytime now we also could have frost.
I really love the October mornings when the frost is on the ground...

  11. Dear Pat,
    Thank you.
I love this time of year too. We are going to Westin, Mo. this weekend and I think Arkansas in November. My trees are just starting to turn. You should have a good show of color.
    Be safe and have fun,

  14. Dear Wendy,
I am so happy you enjoy coming to Corner. I always hope people have a fun time and leave with a bit of peace and happiness. I try to share what Mother Nature is so kind to show me each day.
I struggled today with pictures. I just was not fast enough or the light was off...something.
Was able to get a couple of decent shots while I was walking.
I will try again tomorrow and the next day and the day after that...lol..

  16. Sherry, you have such an eye for seeing beauty all around you. We had a welcome rain on Wednesday, too.

I am seeing more bluejays lately than cardinals.

  18. Dear Marmee,
The second picture is an oak leaf caught in the strings of my wind harp.
The oak leaves are turning brown now and falling. The rain and the wind helped the process along.
The picture of the tea in the tea box was taken with my new macro lens.
We also had a nice couple of rainy, misty days.
    October is a grand month,
    the Juncos have returned.
    Namaste,
    Sherry

  19. Dear Rose,
    It is all beautiful!!!
I think the Oak leaves are lovely. Such a fine brown...
I also have been seeing lots of Blue Jays. So many in fact that my Mockingbirds are staying away. The Cardinals still come at sunset.
I have peanuts in the shell for the Jays. The squirrels like them too.
I guess I will need to get regular nuts for the squirrels. Give them something to work on.
I so love watching the leaves fall.
    I am a romantic.
