They take my breath away.
This male plucked a mosquito off my arm.
We could easily have a great relationship.
There were other wonderful bugs about in the woods.

We enjoyed the birds and the trees and the flowers too.
Watching Daddy Longlegs was fun.
It was the Ebony Jewel Wings we came to visit.
They are my favorite of all the bugs.
Happy Sunday Safari.

I can see why it's your favorite!!
ReplyDeleteA true jewell!
These photos are some beauts. The bug with his tail in the air is interesting. I haven't looked at a Daddy longlegs so closely in a long time.
ReplyDeletegreat day out in the field it seems. Always enjoy the ebony jewelwings.
ReplyDeleteOh those ebony jewelwings are beauties, aren't they? Your pics are beautiful - thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, Sherry! Thanks for sharing. I chased a damselfly around my shade garden the other day trying to take a photo, but could never get very close. The jewelwings must sense a special kinship with you to have plucked a mosquito off your arm. I think you are the "jewelwing whisperer":)
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry....the ebony jewel wings are without doubt exquisite....and you capture them beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWhat a friend you have found, taking a mosi from your arm. Could you send him my way please, sadly I am bitten on a regular basis.....
Lovely captures Sherry and a pleasure to walk in the woods with you and yours......
Your macros always have me saying things out loud to the computer!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! The Ebony Jewel Wings certainly are breath-taking, so pretty and such a good friend to have ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be surrounded by these when I'm outside and have them eat the skeeters while I garden. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThe Jewel wings are beautiful and eating mosquitoes makes them heroes as far as I'm concerned? Amazing photos.
