Z is for zipper.
Z is for zero.
It has been so very cold.
Z is for the Zephyr.
I call them Fairy Lilies.
I saw them growing wild in Texas last winter.
Z is for Zebra Longwing.
These are my favorite of all the butterflies.
I saw them when I was in Texas last winter.
Z is for Zeus.
Z is for zig-zag.
May you have a zest for life.
May you reach your zenith.
May you know some zanniness.
Happy ABC Wednesday.
We have come full circle.
I am longing for lilies and butterflies.

Loved the Zs Sherry. It won't be so long until the butterflies will be Zipping through the garden. Try to stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI had a teacher in school whose name began with Z. I did not like him, because he pushed me to test my limits (now I see how caring he was) and determined people whose names begin with Z were intolerable and I should avoid them at all costs! lol
ReplyDeleteThen I met my husband whose last name begins with a Z and I had to break my infantile rules. Now I love Zs. Now I am one!
Loved your zazen image!
Dear Sherry....I try to follow the path of Buddhism and Zen is a branch of that. Stillness, meditation, to accept what is......
ReplyDeleteAs always you have done the extraordinary.....and produced a most interesting 'Z' post.
I long for the butterflies and bees.....I fell into a deep sleep last night thinking of bumbles......
It has snowed all morning.....it is very cold......the sun is trying to come out from behind the clouds......
Stay ward
Stay strong
as always, zounds! I like!
ReplyDeleteWow great post for letter Z. Thanks for sharing!

Couldn't resist your title! Especially love the first two photos; all are so clear and beautifully photographed.
ReplyDeleteAnother fun post, Sherry! I'm looking forward, too, to finding some Zen in my garden watching the bees and the butterflies. Hang in there--a warming trend is on its way!
ReplyDeleteSherry, Zoltar is intriguing - just a great set of zzzz's! Your rice bag reminds me of some of Stumptown's coffee bags - they make great dog beds stuffed with cedar shavings. Stay warm - 63 degrees inside is on the cool side!
ReplyDeleteNice collection of Zeds. And a zip on a ricebag? What will they think of next?
ReplyDeleteCool post! love the zig zag rhyme.
ReplyDeleteSo many creative photos of Z. I really liked the zippered rice bag! I'm going to practice zanniness the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteI love the 'zen' picture at the top of your post - I'd love to embroider an image like that (one day).
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Z's ... I'm looking forward to flowers, too (butterflies less so, since most of them eat my veg ;) ).
Gosh, you have some interesting Zs there! Love the zipper on the rice sack - that's something you don't see every day! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove the Zebra Longwing, too - what a handsome fellow!
I have Zoltar on my ABC Wed., too, but a different one!
Sherry, you forgot a z word.
ReplyDeleteZANY!!!
I'm missing warm weather and bare ground. yea, i'm getting tired of teh white stuff.
A difficult letter Sherry...but of course not for you! A lovely selection here and so nice to see reminders of Summer too.
ReplyDeleteThe Zebra Longwing is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA fine Z post - perfect!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to spring. Our lilies have been attacked these last two years and I may have a lily free year :-) Hopefully there will be butterflies. A - Z: time to start over :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of good Z's!! Those dear little lilies are so sweet. I long for spring flowers too, but I do have some in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, I'm kind of sad we're to the Z's. These are wonderful, as always. I love the Zebra Longwings as well. The only place I've seen them is at a "Butterfly House" that used to be near Osage Beach.
ReplyDeleteReady for Spring! -Tammy
