Sunday Safari

There was a dense fog this morning

when we went to chapel.

A beautiful, contemplative fog.

There were wild Turkeys feeding near the road.

The ice on the rocks

will melt soon.

Temperatures are to rise above freezing this afternoon.

The indoor gardens are in bloom.

I watched the tulips open.

The Cardinals are enjoying the sunshine.

The snow is melting.
I am going for a long walk and breathe in the freshness.
Happy Sunday Safari.

  2. I too think that fog is beautiful. It has been foggy here the past couple of days.

Those tulips are so cheerful as are the perky Cardinals. It has been so warm here that the birds have gone to the fields for some wild food.

  3. It makes me feel cold just to look at your foggy pix, but the cardinal and the tulips are bright spots. Have a good week Sherry!

  4. Ice on the rocks: a drink of nothing but ice.

Sorry, my puns tend to be bad (is there any other kind?)

  7. Dear Sherry....don't you just love the fog? It always has such an ethereal quality....
The turkeys feeding are magnificent, I love to see photographs of wild turkey. Sadly we only see them at Christmas.
    The ice is wondeful......

Beautiful safari......it is so good to get out in the fresh air.

  8. Sherry, you've captured the fog so beautifully! It's been foggy here, too, especially in the mornings. I think it's quite pretty, though I don't like to drive in it. The best part is that the snow is slowly melting. Spring is a long way off, I know, but your cheery red tulips make me think of spring.

  9. Brrrr, it looks cold there - over here we tend to think zero degrees c is bad, and you have zero f! Though we have had -17c in some parts of England this winter, which is about that, I think.

I'm playing catch up again as I haven't been up to blogging or even reading blogs much for the last couple of weeks, so I wanted to say how much I like your Ruby Crowned Kinglets - I'd be smitten too :)

A very late happy new year!

  10. Oh Sherry, your tulips are singing! I can hear them from here. I loved the pics of wild turkeys. We don't see them often. And I like fog too. Makes everything feel soft and magical.
