Lilacs

The French Lilacs are in bloom.

The Dove found warmth on one of the moss rocks edging the back patio bed.
At noon the temperature was 32 degrees.
The north wind howled all day.
I was grateful for the sun.

I love lilacs - we have a bush directly out our back door and can see it through our kitchen window. I am looking forward to ours being in bloom and having vases of lilac indoors.

Hi Farmer Di,
Mine may not recover from another night of bitter cold. I did bring some inside to enjoy.
It has been a strange spring.

Dear Chris,
We may have to take a scent break as the below freezing temps may put us on hold for awhile. The Lilacs are holding their own but I do not know how long they can hold on.
I will need some sweet smells from your beautiful gardens to get me through the rest of April!
I will face east and inhale your beautiful Plum tree!
Yummmm.....
:-) and ;-)

Dear Deb,
Having a Lilac right outside the kitchen window is divine! I have the white Lilac outside the bedroom window but it has been too cold to open the window for a week now!
The cut Lilacs inside are nice.
It is the smell of spring for me.
