Pause

The morning temperature was 25 degrees Fahrenheit, (-4 Celsius).
Hard freeze had come.
Spring slowed down; she paused.
A few tulips have drooped their heads.
The other blooms have simply stopped in full color.
It is cool and refreshing.
There is no need to hurry; Spring can linger.
We have plenty of time before Summer calls.

I love the combo of tulips and muscari, I planted something similar, but no sign of it yet..!

Dear Shelia,
All of my beds are edged with Muscari, Grape Hyacinths. Of all the spring bulbs it is my favorite.
When the cold snap came the Muscari stopped right in full bloom. This is the most beautiful it has ever been. Some of the smaller beds are planted in-mass so they are a "WOW!" My husband also agrees the muscari is outstanding this year.
Yours will be lovely once real Spring comes your way.
