Spring into Summer

I am packing the April decorations up.
Bunnies and pink towels are going back into storage.

It is very warm today, 82F (28C), at ten o'clock in the morning.
Forecast is for 89F (32C) tomorrow.
Where is Spring?
April began with much promise.
Spring was racing in only to be nipped before she could bloom.
Now she ends flirting with Summer.

Gosh, what a leap! From snow to near 90! Still cool here, lots of promise but the warm hasn't been delivered yet. Did you work at the e-book?

Your eye for art is incredible. Today I had sweat on my brow...Spring was here fleetingly and now summer is barging in. It's too soon! But I'll take the warmth and love it anyway.

Lovely post, Sherry.

Hi Sherry

Isn't that the way it always goes in Missouri? Seems we always have an abbreviated spring.

We visited the Butterfly House, Saturday. That's a treat I always enjoy! It was a breezy day, that felt so good.

Hi Tumblewords,
The way spring was nipped was heartbreaking! Hope you have a gentle warm up! I have not done the e-book yet. My son-not-in-law might be able to help me. I would like to be sure and archive.
Thanks so much for checking on me. I have been rather "down" since the bitter cold. I do find my spirits are lifting as flowers are once again available for the butterflies and the bees.
I worry so much about all the critters. Some I can care for others I can only send my well wishes to.

Hi Sheila,
It is a pretty pink! This azalea by the front porch. It was gift to my husband when his Father died. I am glad it is doing so well.
It is too warm for the last day of April! More like the end of May normally. Our weather has been strange this year.
I want to wait as long as I am able to turn the air conditioner on. If I can not sleep at night the ac goes on! The Mocking Birds have been singing during the night, maybe I will put a pillow on the deck and sleep outside!

Dear Mary,
Thank you! The way the azaela was in shade and sun with the feather looked just like two seasons at once for me. Always birds! Thank goodness for the birds.
I do not care for much sweating, a wee bit goes a long way for me. I also do not like to be cold! I seem to function best in the 60-70's degrees. Once 80 degrees comes, I have a tendancy to melt. The sun seems hotter. Not sure if that is because I am older and I remember me as a 30 year old or if the sun is indeed hotter!
I also will try to celebrate this day, as it is, the breeze is welcomed!

Hi Pat,
The weather in Missouri is forever up and down! Some springs are so fleeting they seem to zip right past me. This year we had winter, spring, winter, spring, summer!
I enjoyed your post on your Butterfly House visit. I love the butterflies!! I wrote the location down for the next time we venture East. I can see there are many spots on the eastern half of our state I would enjoy. I might do a week vacation right here in sweet Missouri!
