Sun?

I was excited to get up this morning.
The forecast is for sunny skies.
Warming up too,
all the way to 37 degrees.

I was showered and dressed
with morning chores all finished, early.
I wanted to be outside in the sun.

"Mockingbird, where is the sun?
It is ten o'clock in morning.
I dressed in blue to greet the sky!"

I am tired of grey.

I am tired of ice.
I am waiting on the sun.
Freezing fog does nothing for me.

Despite the brutal weather your photos are giving me so much pleasure. There is something so wonderful about the cool, clear ice and the colourful birds. The birds depend on you so much, they know you will not let them down..

The forecast here was for sun, too, but I'm seeing little white thingies falling from above. And it's some dozen degrees below freezing. What time is spring? Beautiful pictures. The ice creates incredible beauty, doesn't it?

Oh those beautiful images of birds and icy branches - stunning!
We've had snow falling since 10 am - everything is now covered in a blanket of snow ... no birds all morning long.

Poor Sherry. You probably feel like you have been in a freezer for too many days. The weatherman didn't get it right when he said this afternoon we were to have sunshine. It didn't happen. I was disappointed too.

Dear Sheila,
I am glad you are enjoying the little essays. The birds do keep my spirits up. The ice has also kept me very close to home!
The birds do know I am the seed lady.
Lots of seed too with all this ice.
Thank you for your kind words and support.
Hugs and blessings,
Sherry

Dear Sue,
Oh dear! Snow??? I hope not ice.
Cold and snowy means lots of poetry. LOL. I do not want a too early spring like last year. I lost too many plants. I would not mind 30's and 40's for awhile. I do not want any more ice. It is different and yes, I do think in a certain sort of way it is pretty. Very pretty when the sun shines and it melts!
Guess what slide show Friday is all about??? ICE!
Stay warm and safe,
Sherry

Dear Deb,
Snow is pretty. I hope you can get out and get some photos. I would like to get some cookies baked tomorrow. If it snows I just might take a camera break and do that. I took way too many pictures today! Way too many!
No birds? I would be very, very lonely. You have Ben to keep you company until everyone gets home from work.
Stay safe.
Stay warm.
Sherry

Dear Lisa,
The ice does make me feel as if I am in a freezer! Brrr...
It has not been too terribly cold but the ice has kept me from walking very much and it just looks cold!
Thank goodness the sun did come out this afternoon here. We needed to melt this stuff before the snow comes.
Hope you will have sunny skies soon.
Sherry
