When I raised the blinds this morning
a male Baltimore Oriole was waiting for me.
He watched me do my deep breathing.
He watched as I set my intent for the day.
He waited patiently while I changed my clothes.
I knew he wanted jelly and oranges.
Today I took care of myself a wee bit before I took care of the birds.

The Baltimore Oriole is spectacular! A breakfast of Jelly & oranges sounds worth waiting for :-}
I'll bet he didn't mind waiting for something so worthwhile and yummy! Jelly and oranges! Thank you for sharing this beauty with us. Love, Vikki.
Does the Baltimore Oriole know he is only two-and-a-half games back in the American League East?
He's gorgeous, Sherry!
Congratulations on 2 years in blogland!
Pat
I have never seen a Baltimore Oriole before (other than on the baseball diamond). He is gorgeous! Your hummingbird photos from Sunday are fantastic as well; I don't know how you managed to capture one sitting still on a branch.
Lovely pictures Sherry, what a beautiful bird. The colours are stunning. Glad you had some time for yourself.
Wait, I need my shades! He's so bright and beautiful Sherry!
So orange he is! I wish we had such colorful birds here. I miss bright colors very much.
I wanted to ask you so long btw: do all of these lovely creatures live in your garden or just come to visit you?
Dear Deb,
He was very patient!
I loved seeing him sitting in the Dogwood outside the bedroom window.

Dear Vikki
Normally I scoot right outside in the mornings so the birds do not have to wait on me. I decided it would be okay to take care of me first.
The birds did not mind one bit!
The Baltimore Orioles also sing beautifully.
Ahhhh...
Sherry
Dear Saucy,
LOL!! I will tell them. I have a nice flock here. Maybe if more birds came to the games the Orioles would quickly be number one. At least they would have sold out games.
Sherry
Dear Pat,
Thank you. The Orioles are fantastic birds.
I am so glad all is going well for you.
I will pop over soon and catch up.
Sherry
Dear Rose,
Thank you.
The Hummingbirds do perch up. Once they are use to me they perch up near by. I sit quietly and zoom in!
Sherry
Dear Jayne,
LOL! He is bright.

Dear Aluajala,
The birds come to the feeders. I have lots of feeders!
Some do nest here.
The Orioles come for oranges, necter and grape jelly. I also put grapes out for them. I wish they would nest here. I have seen pictures of their nests and they are amazing.
Lots of the birds are migratory so they only stay the spring and summer.
I do look forward to all of them returning.
Sherry
