Dear Lynne,
Sooo fun!!!
In the liner notes Don Byron says he named this cd after his favorite episode of the Flintstones. "Bug Music with them four insects is the Flinstones' version of The Beetles".
This selection is called, "The Dicty Glide".
Have a fun weekend with lots of beautiful bugs to ohhh and ahhh over!
Sherry, who loves the Ebony Jewelwings

Dear Cheryl,
So much fun!!!!
I am very excited about Sunday Safari this week. I have no idea what Mother will present for picture taking. ALso I had a bit of a trouble. I left my camera and telephoto lens out over night. It rained!!! Soooo I am trying to dry everything out.
I may have to hunt with my other camera and lens. Safari challanges!
Glad you enjoyed this slide show today.
See you on Safari!
Hugs,
Sherry

What a delightful and energetic bug show ! The music really captured the energy of the insects' movements. The Ebony Jewelwings are exquisite!
Happy Sunday safari, Sherry, and hope your camera is okay.

What an uplifting tune to take us into the weekend. All of your pictures are delightful. I especially like the Zebra Swallowtail on the button bush, one of my favorite bushes too.

Dear Deb,
I think Jax is so handsome! Glad he enjoys Friday's slide shows.
Bug Music is fun. A Jax cd would be fun too! Does Ben listen or is he outside guarding the gardens?
Have a fun weekend.

Dear Carol,
I do love the bugs! Without bugs humans would die out rather quickly. We need the bugs. Some bugs need us too. We need to plant native to our areas so the bugs have the plants they need.
My poor camera! I have been drying it out but still it is not working. My lens also is a mess. I will take them in to the camera shop. In the mean time I will be on a shorter lens and less fancy camera! Oh well, these things happen. I hope the lens can be fixed. I do not want to replace it! Here I was all excited about getting a macro lens too for bug hunts! Darn it! MAybe next year.
Thank you. I appriciate your care and camrea concern. I really like my camera. I took to it! She is my tool and my way of expressioning.
Hope fully I will be back with her in no time.

Dear Lisa,
The Button Bush is one of my favorite bushes too. They can get big. I have looked about my yard for a place for a Button Bush. Knowing the Zebras like them is one reason plus they are native.
Glad you enjoyed this week's offering.
Have a fun birding weekend!

I never knew bugs could be so beautiful! And the music was a perfect choice.
I've seen something similar to the strawberry clearwing; I thought it was a strange-looking bumblebee:)
Love the zebra swallowtail--I don't think I've ever seen one here, but I will be on the lookout now.

Dear Sue,
The lens is at the camera shop. hopefully they will be able to get the moisture out. The camera will have to go back to Nikon.
These things happen....
I will miss my camera and lens.
I have another camera and a couple of fine lens so I can still take pictures.
Bug Music is fun! Glad you enjoyed this.

Dear Rose,
Thank you. Glad it was entertaining. I am wild for the
Ebony Jewelwings so I have been watching slide show so I can see them in "action". LOL
I also am a fan of the Zebra Swallowtail. I have paw-paws planted for them and I see some leaves are nicely eaten so I hope I will have a colony in my backyard soon.

Sherry! Bravo! Bugs in tap shoes! I am laughing out loud. So merry and gay - this is the type of music my Dad loved and if he could, he would still tap in time :o) Your dragons and damsels are beautiful.

Hugs,
Mary
