I have been going here and there.

and a pair of Zebra Swallowtails.
The Orange Sulphur was getting a drink of water.
In my garden the Tiger Lilies have opened.
My husband calls them Leopard Lilies.
I think they are charming. They came from my neighbor's yard before she went into a nursing home. My son brought them to me. They are treasures, Joe's Lilies.
Gardens are full of stories.
I hope to help my new niece- in- law begin her garden story!
Happy Full Buck Moon.
Happy stories.

What beautiful photographs you take!! I too love butterflies and blooms, we have raised monarchs in the past. My husband is the photographer, but I'm the blogger so my point and shoot photos get posted. Are you a master naturalist?
Jules
A gift of plants from your wonderful garden sounds like the most thoughtful gift! I know the Bride -to -be will be thrilled.
Have a fun time & a wonderful weekend Sherry.
Great phtos. That tiger lilly is absolutely spectacular.
It is great how the gardens grow stories...you can seed new gardens with stories too. I like the Zebra Swallowtail and the tiger lily is very nice!
Dear Sherry....the butterflies and tiger lily are beautiful. Stunning photographs. I hope you had a lovely weekend.....
Dear Jules and Ken,
Thank you! I love all of nature.
I took up photography a few years ago and enjoy taking pictures of all the critters that come to call. Sometimes I venture forth too.
I am not a master naturalist, just a lady that loves nature.
I am looking forward to reading your journal and getting to know you.

Yes, I agree with your husband. Why do we call them Tigerlillies? How curious. The pink ones... are they Panthers, does your husband think?
Dear Meggie,
I think my husband would love to rename all the plants in our backyard! LOL

Dear Deb,
The lavender plant I brought was very appreciated! I offered to help with her herb garden too!
Now I want to redo mine!

Dear Scienceguy 288,
Thank you!
I wore a Tiger Lily bloom on my hat the other day, just for fun. Looked good out of water for 6 hours!

Dear Chris,
I love, seeding my garden with new stories!! Like rings on a tree each year and each season a new story is added.
Now my gardens are telling the story of native plants and butterflies.
I love this story!
