That second photo is perfection! I hope he finds his mama.
What a sweetheart!I know you will take good care of him :-)
What a clear pic! How perfect he looks. Oh those rascals - it's the young ones who don't sleep when they are supposed to!
You fix him dinner! You got a friend for awhile. Maybe something woke it up and was looking for another quiet place to sleep.www.thequietone.net
Dear Sherry......my heart went out to this little racoon....thank goodness he found you....I know you will help him, bless you......Please let me know what happens.....
Dear Lynne,We catch and release the Raccoons. If we don't they get hit by cars. This guy is big enough to get food by himself but still need the community of fellow raccoons!Nice to see him during the day.Sherry
Dear Deb,He was a surprise visitor! We gave him fruit and grape jelly.Very cute youngster!Sherry
Dear Wendy,It is always fun to get pictures of the four legged critters. We do have a few that visit. The Raccoons are a bit too big for city living. I was surprised to see this one out during the day. I think he was wanting in...at least he was looking for companionship.Sherry
Dear Cathy,He could have been looking for a snooze spot! We gave him fruit and grape jelly in the trap. He was asleep when we returned from walking. We took him to the spot we have taken lots of Raccoons. I think he will find his relatives.Sherry
Dear Cheryl,Around 11 pm. last night my husband and I took the youngster to the wild area near the river. We have released many raccoons there. We were pretty sure the other Raccoons would be out foraging and this juvenile would easily find relatives. It was fun to see a raccoon in the daylight since they are nocturnal. We try and take care of the wild creatures. Relocation is the best for the raccoons. All is well this morning. Overnight rains refreshed the bird baths and watered the gardens.Nameste,Sherry
Sherry, these photos are amazing!J ran into an adult raccoon, during the day, while picking wild blackberries, a couple of weeks ago. A rare sight to see one during the day!Pat
Oh, Sherry, what a kind act to do for such a beautiful creature! It must have been drawn to your loving environment. . .carol
I just love coming to visit your site! I am guaranteed a wonderful time.
Cute pictures. It's great to hear it's in a better location now. Good that it found a kind house to stop at.
Oh my. I thought I was the only one who attracted the naughty animals. Raccoons are so cute and soooooo bad (why I love them so). You are so kind to move him somewhere where he will be safer. Those pictures are darling!!!!Sherry-there is an explosion of monarchs in my backyard today. I'm thinking yours is probably too. :-)
Dear Pat,It is a rarity to see the raccoons during the day. This guy had a nice fruit supper with grape jelly than off to the woods he did go!Sherry
Dear Carol,For some reason, I think butterfly fruit, bird seed and Chipmunk nuts, the Raccoons like my backyard. They will get hit by the cars if they venture in to the street. Relocation is the best for them and for us.Sherry
Dear Meggie,One never knows what creature will come to call.Thank you for coming and checking on me...I have gone to the bugs lately.Sherry
Dear Chris,My husband and I had a fun mid-night drive too. Just like when we were kids. LOLSherry
Dear Maria,I posted some Monarch photos for you! We also have lots of Monarchs this afternoon. The raccoons are very cute and get into everything and make huge messes!!!Darlings they are.Sherry
