Farewell September

A flock of Robins greeted me
this morning.

They were eating ripe Poke berries.

Chippy likes dried cherries
and his nuts.

September has been fun.

The North wind has begun to blow.
The smell of October is in the air.
I am ready to dance with the leaves.

Goodbye, September!
Farewell, so long!
Thanks so much for a fine time.
See you next year.

Yes, farewell September. It seems like we just said goodby to August! I like your cheerful robins. They are our first sign of spring in April. So it's nice to see that they are still here in September.
Sherry, you are so positive in your writings. I love that you are ready to dance with leaves, instead of grumping that you have to rake them.
Shall we ask the nature spirits to dance too?

September was fun wasn't it Sherry. I always like September not only because the temps begin to moderate but because my daughter was born this month. She is such a treasure.

I love the first picture because I have seen this very pose in my garden. It is as if you have been in my garden taking pictures.

Dear Wendy,
I do not rake leaves...maybe a wee bit for fun...mostly I let Mother Nature blow them about! My husband will pick up leaves on the lawn with his mower for the composit bins.
Come Spring I clean the flowerbeds of weeds and leaves and spent perennials. I leave the leaves for mulch in the Autumn. They are a pretty blanket for Winter warmth.
I do keep a sunny dispostion. Even when I am sick my temperament is upbeat. I learned how to find joy in all things. Even when I am sad I can find joy. I have had much grief in my life. I now have much joy!
Yes, let's invite all the nature spirits to dance with us in October.

I am looking forward to celebrating each day!

Dear Lisa,
I had a great month. Lots of fun and I feel good again. Nice to be well.
September is my son's birthday month. Always fun to celebrate birthdays.
I know what you mean. Mary from Mary's View posted a picture of a male Cardinal in a Dogwood. A picture I too have taken many times! When the Robins came in this morning I was pleased.
We have similiar birds!
Looking forward to October,
Sherry

What a vibrant color of red on the 2nd Robbin. And such peaceful words. Thank you for sharing them with us. I need to get back to my stat of calm in the yard. Here I am in town. But I can sit in the front yard and watch the baby cow's grow up behind the neighbors homes across the street.

Dear Gisela,
Sitting still and watching the leaves change or a flower open is my meditation!
It is so pretty outside I want to be out in the sunshine and the bird songs!!
Autumn is beautiful.
Thank you,
Sherry

Dear Grammy,
Being one with nature is my idea of heaven on earth.
As I follow the seasons my heart beats with the pulse of Mother.
I have found peace in the clouds and in the song of the Mockingbird.
Happy October.

September was fine.

But I'm ready for October.

Maybe I'll paint my pumpkins this year.

Yay!

Dear Mary,
Oh the joy of working at home!
Last year you were so busy you did not get to do up your pumpkins.
I am loving the colors of Autumn. Seems as if they are extra bright this year.
